Order to Henry Moton, escheator in the county of Gloucester - pursuant to an inquisition made by Edmund de Brugge, late escheator in the said county, shewing that Thomas Hatheway held in chief of Edward III in his demesne as of fee a messuage, a dovecot, 80 acres of land and 26s 8d rent in Ruardyn by the service of 4s to be paid yearly at the castle of St Briavels, and a messuage
and 40 acres of land at Sentbrevell by the service of paying 28s yearly and being chief forester in the forest of Dene; and, secondly, another inquisition taken by the said Henry Moton shewing that Isabel, one of the daughters of the said Thomas, whom Thomas Walleweyn has taken to wife, Sibyl, his second daughter, and Ellen, his third daughter, are his next heirs, Isabel being of full age and the others minors, - to make a partition of the premises into three equal parts in the presence of the said Thomas Walleweyn and Isabel, and of the next friends of Sibyl and Ellen, and deliver to Thomas and Isabel the pourparty of the said Isabel thereof, retaining the other pourparties in the king's hand until further order; as Isabel has proved her age before the said escheator, as appears by the proof of age returned into chancery, and the king has thereupon taken the fealty of Thomas for her pourparty.
