Westminster

To John Joce:
Order, upon pain of forfeiture, to be before the council on the octaves of Michaelmas next [6 October 1345] to show cause why he has contemned to obey the king's order, and further to do and receive what shall then be ordained, as the king appointed him to arrest Roger Joce, Henry Prat the younger, Richard Prat, John son of Nigel Hathewy, John Ketford of Peek and John Cleye for certain trespasses and excesses committed in the forest of Dene, to take them to the Tower of London and deliver them to the constable to be imprisoned there until further order, and now the king has learned that the said John Joce has not cared to do anything in that commission.
